Business Bio: 6 Years ago, I started experimenting with smoking beef in my backyard. I started on my propane grill with a small smoke box. After a while I purchased my first true smoker, a Brinkman vertical, and we started cooking. As they say in Star Wars, "You are not a true Jedi untl you have built your own lightsaber". So, as a summer project, my son Shlomo and I built our own smoker using an old 55 gallon drum. This was my first offset smoker. We spent the summer building and the winter cooking. Over time, I got to be pretty good at it and people asked me to cook for them, I did, and Texas Kosher BBQ was born.! In January 2014 we purchased our first commercial smoker from the East Texas Smoker Comapny located in Tyler,TX. It is a 250 gallon, stick burning, offset, reverse flow pit. (If you dont understand any of that, its okay. suffice it to say, it makes darn good bar-b-que!) We slowly expanded our menu and options. We are now a full service catering compnay specializing in what we call Southern Heimish Cooking. (For those not fluent in jewish, it essentially means, good old southern, jewish homestyle cooking) Simple ingredients with big flavors and our love of Bar-B-Que, bring you the very best in Kosher catering in the Southwest.
